Champion dethroned in CW Quarters
Defending champion Mathieu Castagnet was the main
casualty on quarter-finals night at Canary Wharf, the Frenchman
beaten in four games by Egypt's Fares Dessouky in the
last match of the day.
All four matches took hour to complete, as Kiwi Paul
Coll continued his impressive form with a three-nil win over
CW favourite Daryl Selby, five-time champion Nick Matthew
saw off Cameron Pilley, and Spain's Borja Golan ended the
run of qualifier Lucas Serme.
